Build With Purpose. Design With Integrity. Grow With Us.

Puget Construction & Landscape is one of the region’s leading design-build firms specializing in outdoor living spaces, remodels, additions, and ADUs. We deliver high-end, buildable solutions grounded in accuracy, communication, and design-first thinking.

We are expanding fast—and we’re looking for a Construction Estimator who wants to play a major role in shaping our next chapter.

If you love turning raw ideas into real, buildable plans while guiding homeowners through a premium experience… you’ll fit right in here.

What You’ll Do

As our Lead Estimator, you’ll be at the center of the design-build process:

Client & Field Work

  • Conduct in-person site visits and design consultations
  • Translate client ideas into realistic, clear budgets
  • Build trust and help clients move confidently toward their project goals

Estimating & Proposal Development

  • Produce detailed takeoffs, cost analyses, and proposals for:
  • Outdoor living spaces
  • Remodels & additions
  • ADUs
  • Concrete patios, retaining walls, and hardscapes
  • Design packages
  • Coordinate subcontractor bids and pricing
  • Ensure estimates are buildable, accurate, and aligned with design intent

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with the design team to refine drawings and align budgets
  • Support the Project Manager on scopes, change orders, and material procurement
  • Work within our CRM to manage your pipeline and communication

This is not a “sit behind a screen all day” estimating job—this is a hybrid estimating, client advisory, and early-stage project leadership role.

✅ What We’re Looking ForMust Have (Required)

  • 5+ years residential construction estimating (new builds, remodels, additions)
  • Strong experience with takeoffs, cost analysis, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to close projects and build strong client relationships
  • Familiarity with permitting & local codes (Whatcom/Skagit)
  • Experience in a design-build environment
  • Working knowledge of SketchUp, CAD, or similar design tools
  • Proficiency with estimating/CRM platforms

If you’re the type who loves solving problems on the fly, communicating complex ideas simply, and bringing clarity to homeowners during a remodel or addition—you’ll thrive here.

Growth, Pay & Opportunity

You’ll begin with hourly pay during a 90-day onboarding and skill alignment period. After that, you’ll have opportunities for:

  • Pay increases based on performance
  • Sales-based bonus potential
  • Transition into a salaried Lead Estimator or Sales-Estimator hybrid role
  • Long-term leadership opportunities as we scale

If you want to grow with a company—not just work for one—this is that place.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This role is a great fit if you are:

  • A natural problem-solver
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles
  • Skilled in both field verification and detailed estimating
  • Excited about design-build collaboration
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage a pipeline
  • Looking for a long-term career path with growth potential
