We’re looking for a Construction Drafting Technician to join our design and production team. In this role, you’ll translate design concepts into precise technical drawings used for permitting, construction planning, and estimating. You’ll work closely with project managers, designers, and engineering consultants to ensure that all drafted documents meet project specs, codes, and timelines.
Create detailed 2D construction drawings and plan sets based on concept designs
Prepare permit-ready documents and revise plans based on agency feedback
Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs align with scope, budget, and timeline
Work with engineers and subcontractors to adjust drawings as needed for structural or technical requirements
Assist with pre-construction planning, takeoffs, and technical documentation
Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar drafting software
Understanding of residential construction practices, codes, and permitting requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently on multiple active projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Prior experience with drafting for outdoor living spaces, remodels, or ADUs is a requirement
